They gave him insight about the real world. They would pat him on his shoulders for a job well done and gave him advice when he made mistakes. He wanted to mention a few teachers that influenced his life: Mr. Author Hicks was his math mentor, Ms. Julie Bell was his History teacher, and Ms. Brenda Braziel was his BCIS teacher along with many other special teachers such as Ms. Dawn Deal, Ms. Jurrell Gilliam etc. Ms. Bourgeois, the College Bound Counselor assisted Mr. Boutte with receiving a full scholarship to Texas Southern University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. His minor is in Computer Science. When he graduated from College in December of 2006, he decided to join an Alternative Certification Program for teachers. Upon completion, he found himself teaching Math at James Madison Senior High School. He is currently teaching Algebra 1 and enjoys it very much. The 2007-2008 school year was his first year teaching and since has received a lot of support from his mentorinr teacher, Ms. Arnolia Robinson. Much of his success came from those who dedicated themselves to make sure the generations to come made the right decisions about life. This explains why Mr. Boutte has decided to give back to Madison High School. He wants to make sure the future generations make the right decisions about their lives.
